Benoit Kelecom
Benoit is a founding partner of LAB Partners and is a partner in its Funds and Asset Management Practice.
Benoit advises GPs in the structuring and ongoing operations of AIFs, with a particular focus on PE (VC, growth, buyout), real estate, infrastructure and fund of funds. Benoit possesses specific expertise in regulatory matters, encompassing AML, ESG-related topics, CSSF audits and visits, regulatory due diligence matters, as well as placement/fundraising regulations (providing legal assistance to support the selling efforts and the construction of distribution networks of asset managers across EEA and non-EEA jurisdictions). Furthermore, Benoit advises private and institutional LPs on their primary, secondary and co-investment transactions across the entire spectrum of AIF strategies as well as management companies and AIFMs on their establishment, strategic decisions and day-to-day operations.
Prior to founding LAB Partners, Benoit was a partner in the funds and asset management practice of the Luxembourg office of a Dutch firm. Before that, Benoit has founded and managed the funds team of ATOZ and has worked for more than 6 years as a funds lawyer at a Magic Circle firm in Luxembourg and in London. Benoit started his career in 2009 as a legal counsel at the European Investment Bank.
